Thinker Quote and Response to Clare Boothe Luce
I have an app that brought up the following quote and it demanded a response.
“Women know what men have long forgotten. The ultimate economic and spiritual unit of any civilization is still the family.”
Clare Boothe Luce
In response to Mademoiselle Luce, we have not forgotten. Men conscious of the importance of the gender to human progress are confronting the vapid ignorance of the left, reclaiming leadership in the family, and reengaging a more perfect understanding and approach to character. Some men may have made a mockery of the institution and their affects have been detrimental to society. But those unaffected, and many more of the effected are shaking off the chains of this shameful lapse. We are reaffirming manhood, character, leadership, and chivalry; but, a revivals effects lag in their indication. We will rise up and be honorable despite ourselves. Give us time as redemption is a process.

Quote from DOCTRINE by Driscoll and Breshears
Sin is the despairing refusal to find your deepest identity in your relashionship and service to God. Sin is seeking to become oneself, to get an identity apart from him. . . . Most people think of sin primarily as “breaking divine rules,” but Kierkegaard knows that the very first of the Ten Commandments is to “have no other gods before me.” So, arccording to the Bible, the primary way to define sin is not just the doing of bad things, but the making of good things into ultimate things. It is seeking to establish a sense of self by making something else more central to your significance, purpose, and happiness than your worship to God.

Thinker Quote – DOCTRINE
Salvation means forgiveness and new life in the community of the Spirit on mission with Jesus. Salvation is not merely a personal relationship with Jesus that allows us to go to heaven when we die. It is also a communal relationship with the church to live on mission for Jesus’ kingdom in this life. And the kingdom begins its reign in the church Continue reading

Wisdom and Understanding
The differences between a truly wise person and a person of understanding is a matter of depth. The person of understanding is wise with their intelligence and skills. A person of wisdom is wise in their understandings, their actions, and … Continue reading

Clarification on My Previous Creation Article
I may not believe in a literal seven day creation (please see http://www.robertdryer.com/?p=1156 ) but that doesn’t mean there’s perspectives in my world view I don’t have. In fact, in Orthodoxy there should be clear healthy themes to our world … Continue reading
